Dr. Criswell grew up in Sacramento in a close-knit family of six boys. He became an orthodontist so that he could be a part of the dramatic change that occurs during treatment, both in the patient’s smile and self-confidence. He loves interacting with patients and brings enthusiasm and attention to detail to every patient he sees. Dr. Criswell firmly believes in the life-changing impact a gorgeous smile will have, and he is passionate about obtaining the most beautiful and healthy smile for every patient.

Dr. Criswell attended UCLA for college, graduating with honors with a Bachelor’s Degree in physiology. He then earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where he graduated at the top of his class, earning numerous awards and scholarships. Upon graduating, Dr. Criswell was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. While in dental school, he completed the competitive joint DDS-MBA program, graduating with his Masters in Business Administration degree from the University of San Francisco School of Business.

Dr. Criswell went on to earn his advanced degree in orthodontics by completing a rigorous three-year orthodontic residency at UCSF. During that time, he was Chief Resident and earned his Masters in Orofacial Sciences degree through an in-depth study of a growth modification appliance for teens with mandibular deficiency (small lower jaws).

Dr. Criswell is happily married to his beautiful wife Jennifer, who was born right here at the former Fort Ord! Together they have a beautiful and lively family of four boys. Lucas, Marcus, Caius, and the newest member Cassius! If you don’t see Dr. Criswell at the boys’ local sports events or schools, then he is enjoying his spare time relaxing with his family, shooting hoops, golfing, snowboarding, playing chess, cooking, and reading books.

Dr. Criswell is committed to staying up to date with the latest treatments and technologies. He actively attends continuing education courses and is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Monterey Bay Dental Society.

Dr. Jady comes to the Monterey Peninsula with over 30 years of private practice orthodontic experience, both as a practice owner and as a highly talented orthodontist. He most recently held his private practice in Eugene, Oregon, where he was a top-rated doctor and a huge Oregon Ducks fan.

Dr. Jady is a graduate of the Loma Linda School of Dentistry, where he graduated at the top of his class. He then stayed at Loma Linda to complete his orthodontic training and specialist certificate. Dr. Jady is experienced in all types of orthodontic treatments and has successfully treated thousands of cases over his career. Most notably, he is an expert in Class II growth modification appliances, surgical cases, early intervention treatment, and comprehensive interdisciplinary cases.

Dr. Jady is a proud father, husband, and family man, having two adult children who have gone on to successful careers. Dr. Jady’s interests include college football, golf, hockey, and spending time with his family. The Monterey Peninsula is the perfect fit for him and he plans on becoming a long-time member of the community.

Dr. Jady will be practicing along with Dr. Criswell in the Monterey and Salinas offices. Dr. Jady shares the same passion for orthodontics and patient care that Dr. Criswell embodies. Together, Dr. Jady and Dr. Criswell will continue to deliver exceptional care to our community.

Dr. Aaron is the newest addition to MBO Orthodontics, bringing with him exceptional training, a passion for innovation, and a genuine love for creating confident, healthy smiles. Born and raised in Los Angeles as the youngest of five, Dr. Aaron’s journey into orthodontics was inspired not only by his own experience with braces, but also by his lifelong interests in anthropology, medicine, art, and engineering.

Dr. Aaron graduated with Honors from the University of the Pacific’s highly competitive accelerated 2+3 Dental Program in San Francisco, earning both his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and his Doctorate in Dental Surgery by the age of 22. He then completed his post-doctoral residency at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he served as Chief Resident and earned his specialty certification and a Master’s degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.

Now back in the mountains and beaches of the Golden State, Dr. Aaron enjoys camping, hiking, scuba diving, road trips, weightlifting, reading, playing board games, practicing the cello, and—most importantly—spending time with his wonderful wife, daughter, and dogs.

Dr. Aaron is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and an active member of the AAO, PCSO, CAO, ADA, CDA, and MBDS. His commitment to continuing education keeps him at the forefront of orthodontic research and technology. His clinical interests include airway management, dentofacial orthopedic growth modification, and comprehensive orthodontic treatment using both traditional braces and clear aligner therapy for children and adults.

For Dr. Aaron, the orthodontic journey is an investment of time and trust—one that ends with a beautiful smile and confidence that lasts a lifetime. He looks forward to serving our community with skill, compassion, and a true passion for the art of orthodontics.
